This is such a strange story because David Beckham is normally the most devoted husband in the world. David and Victoria Beckham were driving to the airport from their home in Bargemon, France on Friday when the soccer star slammed their BMW into a wall.

Beckham was photographed embracing a tearful Victoria in the car and comforting her, before he raced to the departure lounge with her father Tony Adams. Beckham was forced to run to catch his flight, leaving his distraught partner with the wrecked car.

By all account, Vics was a jibbering, size zero mess, but David had to jet. I guess he figured his crying wife would still be there when he got home, but the opporturnity to be involved in the Beijing Olympics closing ceremony would only be around on Sunday
